gunnercooke advises on acquisition of 20 pharmacy businesses

gunnercooke Healthcare Partner Mel Kang has advised Jhoots Chemist Ltd on a deal involving the acquisition of 20 pharmacies.
The deal saw gunnercooke client Jhoots purchase multiple businesses across England and Wales from Lloyds Pharmacy.
Walsall-based Jhoots are an award-winning business and now own over 100 independent community pharmacies nationwide.
Charlie Jhooty from Jhoots commented: “This was a complicated and arduous road, Mel and his team had to deal with countless law firms, as well as the lawyers acting for our lender. It was an impressive job as the quarterback!”
Mel Kang is an experienced lawyer specialising in the dental, pharmacy, children’s nursery, GP, and care home sectors.
