gunnercooke have launched a new Professional Trustee Company, gcTrustees Limited, to further boost the range of pensions services we can offer our clients.
Experienced pension partners Suresh Bhatt and Adam Bushby will be utilising their decades of professional trusteeship experience to spearhead this new offering, which will act as a trustee of pension schemes all over the country.
gcTrustees’ fresh approach focusing on strategic planning, pro-activity and accountability to co-trustees and employers alike seeks to address the concerns raised in recent months by the Pensions Regulator and the Professional Trustee Standards Working Group in relation to standards of pension scheme trusteeship.
Our CEO Anna Beaumont has shared her thoughts:
“We are delighted to launch gcTrustees, which strengthens the breadth of services we are able to offer to our pensions clients. As is the gunnercooke model, the team comprises highly experienced advisors and has already begun to gain traction with a number of schemes. We are looking forward to building the business, which will have great synergy with our existing practice.”
Regarding the launch of the new trustee company, Suresh commented:
“I am excited to be able to join forces with Adam to enable schemes to benefit from our distinct yet complementary experience and skill-sets. We both share a real passion for using our professional trustee experience to get things done and be accountable for the value we add to our pension schemes. We genuinely believe we can positively challenge some of the existing approaches to professional trusteeship, in much the same way as gunnercooke challenges the traditional law firm approach.”
Adam also commented:
“At gcTrustees our intention is to bring professional trusteeship to smaller schemes which have often been under served and sometimes inadequately advised by the pensions industry. Our aim is to bring robust direction and leadership to those schemes. Wherever possible, we will work pragmatically in partnership with employers to produce the best possible outcomes for the members of those schemes over the shortest possible time.”
