gunnercooke advises on Heptonstalls restructure

gunnercooke has advised on a series of transactions involving the acquisition and restructuring of Heptonstalls Solicitors.

The restructure involved the acquisitions and sales of multiple legal businesses throughout 2020, beginning with the purchase of Midlands-based law firm, HH Legal, earlier this year.

Yorkshire-based Heptonstalls Limited was acquired from Administrators in September by HH Legal, and the transactions included the subsequent sales of both the Private Client and Clinical Negligence departments to local leading law firms resulting in over 100 jobs being saved.

The final transaction was completed on 9^th November 2020.

gunnercooke were instructed by Dominic Weir of HH Legal and the gunnercooke team was led by Corporate Partner Jo Glass, supported by Employment Partner Melloney Guiver and Property Solicitor Gaynor Bannon.
