partner, Rosie Burbidge, has been named a trailblazer among WIPR’s Influential Women in IP 2019.
This new project by World IP Review celebrates the IP industry’s leading
female practitioners from around the world and identified 20 women who are global
rising stars in the industry.
Rosie
was identified as a trailblazer after her rapid rise to prominence in the IP
arena. The publication highlighted that:
“She
is particularly well known in fashion industry circles, due in large part to
her fashion-industry book, European
Fashion Law: A practical guide from
start-up to global success.”
The
publication also highlighted Rosie’s participation in industry speaking events,
noting that she recently presented on blockchain and the fashion industry
during CITMA’s Spring conference. She has
also delivered guest lectures at Goldsmiths University, Southampton University
and CASS business School.
Rosie
has been involved in some high-profile IP disputes including Superdry v
Abercrombie & Fitch, a case involving unregistered design rights. She is also experienced in portfolio
management, anti-counterfeiting actions, clearance of intellectual property
rights and strategic advice.
Rosie
joined gunnercooke in October 2018 and has built a thriving IP practice based
on her strategic, practical and straightforward approach to IP.
